oh my days, this look is ideal! i've been wading through mountains of catwalk for work and i never get that excited about new york but this look from proenza schouler's aw12 collection is just perfect. who wouldn't want a quilted satin varsity jacket with two embroidered pheasants on it? who?! head over heels for the woven pailette skirt and the bambi bag too.. gonna be shooting at london fashion week over the next few days so will keep you posted on that. happy friday!

cyberella.
not gonna lie, never been a huge fan of dvf nor the printed wrap dress situation that appears in every 'dress for your figure' article in the history of magazines (cue gok wan 'a large floral print hides a whole manner of sins' yadda yadda yaddah...) so... i was bowled over with joy when these looks emerged from von furstenberg's latest s/s12 collection.. they remind me of the whole cyber-barbie thing i mentioned a while ago after seeing abi swann's collection at graduate fashion week. there is definitely still a 'moment' for all thinks sparkly, but to me this is different. it's girly but really, really cool and modern. i'm a girl after philo's clean lines and boyish attitude but something here is speaking to me.. could i be converted?

karen walker aw11.

this is definitely my favourite karen walker collection to date. i feel she gets a bit overlooked - admittedly she never does anything ground braking but she does make really lovely, wearable clothes, usually with nice colour palettes, prints and proportions. this is definitely as girly as i'd go but i really love this collection - the black vinyl detailing bringing it to life, along with some really strong accent colours to contrast the floral prints. the styling is spot on with the black beanie hat. to see the rest of the collection, go here.

new york fashion week: 3.1 phillip lim.
i first posted about green after lfw last september (see here) and it looks like it's here to stay - the whole of phillip lim's last collection is great and has a really strong colour palette but these four looks are my absolute fave - they feel really fresh for a winter collection and the different textures together (wool/silk/jersey/leather) are a dream..
